Sausage Gravy & Biscuits
Ingredients (per serving):
- 1/4 lb sausage (breakfast or sweet Italian)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 +/- tbsp flour
- 2 buttermilk biscuits
Directions:
- Remove sausage from casing if there is any. Brown the sausage over medium heat. Do not drain when done.
- Add the milk.
- Pushing the sausage to one side of the pan, use the other side to slowly stir the flour into the milk until it reaches a smooth texture. Keep in mind that the gravy will continue to thicken after you stop adding flour.
- Split the biscuits and top with gravy.
Note: I have found that Pillsbury makes a frozen biscuit that is very convenient for small servings. Cook what you need. They take about 22-24 minutes to bake. The sausage gravy takes about 10 minutes for a single serving.
